Werewolf Circus

Chapter2: A not-so pleasent surprise

I couldn't think straight. My mind was completely blank. All I wanted was to sleep, yet I was wide awake. Many thoughts floated through my clouded mind, so many thoughts, to many thoughts. My sanity couldn't exist in the clouded realm that was my mind, I had to escape, I had to clear my head. I reached out searching for my body. I had to find myself. My body, where was my body. A thought emerged from the clouds: Relax. The thought seemed reasonable, I calmed down and let the waves of peace wash away the clouds and bring me to my body. Once I was there I opened my eyes and returned to reality.
I was staring at a ceiling. As I stared I started noticing that things seemed different:
#1. Every muscle in my body ached. It was like I had ran all day. Why was I so sore?
#2. Even though it was pitch black, I could see every crack, every depression, every defect in the ceiling above. How was that possible?
#3. I could hear someone or something breathing softly so well you'd think they were right beside me. What the hell is going on here? I rolled over onto my stomach and pushed my self up on my hands, as I did this I wobbled slightly.
Everything seemed weird, dreamlike, I guess I was delusional. I had no idea of were I was. As I puzzled over this question, something caught my interest. It was a large rectangle against the wall. I turned my vision to the patch of ground in front of it, were I could look at it.I focused on this spot, never letting my vision falter. I was determined to get there at all costs. I pulled myself to my feet, never letting my hands leave the ground. I didn't want to stand on my feet alone, they felt as if the muscle in them had turned to Jello and I doubted they would support me. During this whole process, my eyes never left the place I wanted to go. I crawled forward cautiously, after the first few steps I felt confident enough to start moving faster. I quickened my pace and found that despite the fact that I was on my hands and feet, I felt perfectly balanced. When I got to my destination I sat down and turned my head to look at the mysterious rectangle, when I saw it I froze. On the wall was a life-sized picture of a dog. This dog was just as beautiful as the dog in my dream, this dog's fur was mocha brown, except for a small ruffle of fur on its chest, which was white. The dogs eyes were its most profound feature, They were a bright yellow and seemed to shine with pride. As I stared at the dog, it seemed to stare back, it was then that I started seeing things that were odd about the picture: The floor in the "picture" almost seamlessly matched the floor the "picture" was placed upon, the area surrounding the "picture" seemed to be as dark as the area surrounding me, and finally the dog in the "picture" seemed to be breathing. At that moment realization hit me like a freight train and my fears were confirmed. The thing that I had thought to be a picture was really a mirror, and the dog in the mirror was none other than me, what I had thought as a dream was in fact reality, to simplify: I was no longer human! I was shocked, scared, but mostly worried about what would happen to me; I felt each of these feelings course quickly through my veins. I then heard a sound, the sound that a dog makes when it wants inside, a sad slow whimpering; I then realized that I was making said sound. I would have never made this sound before I was bitten, but seeing as I wasn't human, I no longer cared.
*Are you okay?* I nearly jumped straight out of my...um fur. I knew I had heard a voice, a girl's voice, what was odd was that the voice seemed to come from everywhere and from nowhere at the same time. I looked around cautiously, and when I did I realized that I was in a familiar place, I was in a cage, not just any cage, but one of the large cages I had seen when I was bitten. Why was I still at Bob's dog circus, and why was I in a cage... unless.... A sudden rage filled my being, and I let it spread, in fact I fueled my rage. I was pissed, all I wanted was to kill the one who was responsible for placing this curse on me, the one responsible for my lycanthropy. I wanted to tear Bob Parkinson-Smith limb from limb, to make him pay for this. I had realized that it was all a trick, that every word was a lie to draw me in so he could do this to me, and once I was within his grasp he told that dog... no... it wasn't a dog, it was a werewolf! I let the flames of hate wash over me, I let them engulf me. As I thought of Bob, my rage reached the boiling point. I felt my muscles tense, and I couldn't help but growl.
*calm down.* said the mysterious voice. Once again I jumped out of shock, It came so suddenly that I was snapped out of my rage. Once again I looked around for the source, however this time my powerful eyes came to rest on a shape laying in the adjacent cage, the place where I was bitten by the wolf named Kiki. The shape moved, and walked over to the barred wall that separated the two cells. The white wolf stopped at the wall, three or so feet from me. Her deep blue eyes locked with my yellow ones, and as I looked at her I found that she was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen... but that was probably my instincts talking.
*Are you okay?* Asked the wolf, Kiki. I tried to say "yes" but all that came out was a small yelp.
*Heheheheh* She giggled *you don't know how to talk yet, do you?* I looked at her, confused.
*I meant in this form.* I shook my head to say "no".
*Don't worry, I'll teach you. It's easy once you know how. Just concentrate on the person or people you want to talk to, and think of what you want them to hear. Now you try!* I did as I was told and thought of what I wanted to say.
*Why did you bite me?* My own voice echoed within my head just like Kiki's did. I knew that it had worked for she responded quickly
*I'm sorry 'bout that but I had to, I had to listen to my master.*
*So Bob is your master.* I asked. at the mention of "Bob" I felt my anger starting to rise.
*Yeah,  he is, and he's your master too.*
*He'll never be my master...! Why do you like such a bad man anyways?* I asked furiously
*He took me in. If it hadn't been for him I would probably still be in that dog pound. And he wasn't always bad.* I could kinda get a sense of how she felt of him, heck if I were stuck in a pound, I'd love the person who rescued me even if he was like Bob.
*What do you mean he wasn't always bad?* I asked, sounding more curious than vengeful
*I'm sorry, but I'm really tired...and we've got a big day tomorrow.* At this Kiki trotted to a large mattress against the back wall. I knew that I wouldn't get another word out of her tonight, so I headed to the mattress in my cell, a small futon like thing; and went to sleep.
Here is the Second Chapter of Werewolf Circus. In my opinion this one isn't as good as the first. Hope you enjoy! May contain grammatical errors
